TikTok Script Extractor
Paste a TikTok that worked and get its script as text, hook first. Study the structure, then write your own version.
- 1
Find a TikTok worth studying
Pick a public video in your niche that clearly beat the creator's usual views. Those are the scripts with something to teach.
- 2
Copy its link
Tap Share, then Copy link in the app, or copy the address bar on tiktok.com.
- 3
Extract the script
Paste the link here and start. The spoken words come back in a few seconds, in the language of the video.
- 4
Mark it up
Copy the script into your notes, or download TXT to read and SRT to see when each line was said.
| Feature | Watching and pausing | ReelToScript |

Read the script, see the structure
A TikTok that took off was written, even if it looks off the cuff. When you read its words instead of watching them, the choices show: what the first sentence promised, how long the setup ran, and how the last line sent people to the comments or back to the start.
This TikTok script extractor turns a video link into that page of words, with a timestamp on every line.
The four beats most short scripts share
Here is the sample above, split into its parts:
| Beat | Time | What was said |
|---|---|---|
| Hook | 0:00 | "Three apps I deleted this year, and I don't miss them." |
| Setup | 0:03 | "Number one: the step counter that charged me eight dollars a month." |
| Payoff | 0:09 | "Your phone already counts steps. Check the Health app." |
| Close | 0:21 | "Number three is the one you'll fight me on. Comments are open." |
The template is a numbered list with a promise up front and a debate at the end. You can use the same four beats for kitchen tools, budgeting apps or running gear, in your own words.
Build a hook swipe file in 20 minutes
- Open your niche's top videos from the past month.
- Extract the script of ten that beat their creator's usual views.
- Paste only the first line of each into one list.
- Label each one: question, bold claim, "stop doing X", list, or story.
- Write three hooks for your next video, one in each of the types you use least.
Repeat it once a month and the list becomes the first thing you open before filming.
Timing from the SRT file
The SRT download carries a start and end time for each line. Check when the hook ends and when the payoff starts. If a video in your niche delivers the payoff by the ninth second and yours waits until the twentieth, you know what to cut.
Getting the TikTok link
- App: open the video, tap the Share arrow, then Copy link.
- Browser: open the video on tiktok.com and copy the address bar.
- Favorites: open your profile, go to Favorites, open the video and copy its link the same way.
The account has to be public. Private videos, deleted videos and TikToks sent to you in messages can't be read.
Need the whole transcript instead?
If you want a full record of what was said, for notes, subtitles or quotes, the TikTok transcript generator is the same tool set up for that job.
First script free
Your first script is free, without signing up. After that you need an account and credits: packs start at $5 for 30 scripts and never expire, or Pro is $9 a month for 300. A TikTok up to 5 minutes uses one credit, and a video that can't be read costs nothing.
ReelToScript is an independent tool and has no affiliation with TikTok or ByteDance.

Frequently asked questions
It takes the link to a TikTok and gives you the words spoken in it as text, with a timestamp on each line. You get the script without pausing and rewinding the video.
It doesn't invent a script. It pulls the real script out of a video that already exists, which is the best starting point for writing your own: you can see what worked before you write.
Yes. Copy it in one click, or download a TXT file for reading or an SRT file with the timing of each line. The video itself is not downloaded.
No. Only speech in the audio is extracted. A TikTok told through on-screen text over a song has no spoken script to pull.
Your first script is free, with no account. After that, packs start at $5 for 30 scripts and never expire, or Pro is $9 a month for 300.
Use it to learn the structure and quote it with credit. Reading another creator's words on camera as your own is copying, and viewers notice.
